The Novum ManifestoA manifesto is a written statement of the beliefs, aims and policies, a set of ideas and plans of a group of people, a written statement declaring publicly the intentions, motives, and views of its issuer. This is the Novum Institute’s Manifesto. This is what we are all about. Why is this important? The answer lies in the value and respect that knowledge and innovation commands. It lies in our credo that knowledge and innovation applied, shared and realized for the benefit of others is knowledge and innovation fulfilled.
The Novum Institute’s roots go back some 400 years to the English philosopher Sir Francis Bacon, and his belief in the value and power of acquiring and applying clear and demonstrative knowledge.
Sir Francis Bacon, 1561-1626, is the creator of the modern scientific method, and of technology transfer. Francis Bacon wrote a number of publications on reorganizing the natural sciences, the most important of which was the Novum Organum, written in 1620, and The New Atlantis, written in 1626.
We take our values system seriously at The Novum Institute. These values guide us in every decision we make and in every interaction in which we engage. Living by them daily is one of the major contributors to our foundations and a key strategy for success in the future.

We develop and implement efficient systems to find, analyze and support the advancement of knowledge and innovation. The Novum Institute harnesses technology and experience to find and develop new means for the development, enhancement and sharing of knowledge and innovation. "Knowledge is Power" is the belief basis upon which we identify, develop and implement new ideas and advance knowledge and innovation.
The Novum Institute's team is based on a strategy of a small senior core leadership team of highly skilled individuals with broad backgrounds, supported by a diverse and deeply experienced Advisory Board, strategic alliances and other cooperative efforts, and further supported by a broad network of resources.
Novum’s particular strengths are as creators, educators, advisors and leaders for knowledge and innovation engineering and implementation. These attributes provide a foundation to get knowledge and innovations recognized, protected, licensed, marketed, funded, acquired or otherwise consummated.
The Novum Institute’s Continuing Plans and Intentions
What we are starting is only a shadow of what we intend to become. Our continuing work will be extending The Novum Institute credo, discipline and experience into new dimensions. From our legacy of nearly 400 years, we feel responsible to build and implement systems that will bring knowledge and innovation to the forefront of society, recognized for what it truly is… the central engine of society, the core of everything that makes society possible.
